Natural beaches

Many beautiful local beaches await you.... you will struggle to do them all!

Salema, our most local beach is Just 5 mins drive from the villa.  Bugau, Figueira, Zavial, Boco do Rio are natural beaches and all very close.  

A 15 min drive to the east takes you to Praia de Luz and Lagos Beaches and west takes you to the expansive surf beaches of Sagres - the most westerly point in Europe, with its stunning lighthouse.

 

Local towns

Lagos -one of the Algarve’s top destinations. Boasting a historic old town, modern marina, cultural attractions, with some incredible restaurants, beaches and scenery.   

Other local towns worth visiting nearby - Praia da Luz with lovely bay and restaurants, Sagres which is famous for its lighthouse and surfing.  

Local fishing villages Salema and Bugau worth a visit.

Further afield Portimao, Lagoa, Alvor, Albuferia, Villamoura and Faro are also popular destinations with tourists, in the more built up areas of the Eastern Algavre. Inland you can visit Silves and Monchique.

Resort 

Golf - Santos Antonio Golf Resort offers an excellent golf course, driving range, club house with bar & shop.  As a villa guest you benefit from discounted Green Fees and tuition is available. 

Resort Gym/Spa - Only 10 mins walk from the villa you will find the Gym and Spa in the Resort 'village'. you can purchase a day pass to use the Gym and book excellent treatments with Spa therapists

Tennis - You can hire a tennis court and rackets and balls from the resort office

Activities

You can easily engage in local activities such as tennis, surfing lessons & board hire, bike hire, kyaking, quad biking, boat trips, warter parks and wine tasting! 

Bike hire shop is literatlly down the road in Budens.

Hiking opportunities are also in abundance; a series of cliff-top trails wind along the coast line, and small roads lead to smaller hideaways scattered in the hills and along the beaches.  Biking opportunities along the same roads. .
